The French distillery sources a mixture of both Kenyan and Ethiopian roasted arabica coffee beans from its neighbour Café Dauré. Then, the coffee beans are cold infused into the spirit, and by avoiding heating the beans for a second time, bitter flavours are also avoided. A dash of sugar syrup is added before the liqueur is bottled. Great as a digestif, or in any caffeinated cocktails.
Palate: Loads of roasted coffee bean, with fresh espresso and a dash of vanilla.
Shaken with Ice
1 oz. C'est Nous Cold Brew
½ oz. Aquavit
1½ oz. Espresso
1 barspoon Fernet
4-6 mint leaves (to garnish)
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake with a large ice cube to briefly to chill. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish.
